FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do your packages include prints?

You will receive DVD of optimized jpeg files that you can take to the photofinishers of your choice to have prints made. This method represents large savings over buying prints at a premium from a traditional photographer.

Are you digital or film? What equipment do you use?

I am 100% digital. While film and digital each have their own advantages, the print where it matters, will essentially be of same quality. Digital allows me more freedom, faster response, and the ability to rely less on the flash in low light indoor weddings. I use the latest 8 megapixel Canon SLRs and I bring at least 3 cameras to each wedding with full complement of professional grade lenses and flashes.

Do you offer black and white or sepia images, as well as color?

Yes. I feel that rendering some of the images in black and white or sepia emphasizes the people and the emotions of the wedding.

Do we get the full size image files or reduced size?

Some wedding photographers provide their clients with only lower size image files suitable for 4x6 prints or for emailing to friends. The image files you receive from me will be full-resolution files that can be used for reprinting of enlargements as well as any size in between.

Will you take posed formal shots of our family and friends?

While I specialize in unposed spontaneous photographs in the photojournalistic style, traditional formal portraits of you and your family are a must and I will happily take limited number of posed group pictures for you.

If I decide to book you, what's next?

When you decide to hire me, I will send you a wedding photography contract. Sign it and mail it along with a retainer for 1/3 of the package amount to reserve your wedding date. The retainer is applied toward the balance of the package. I only photograph one wedding per day and I reserve dates on a first come, first served basis.
